But i got transferred to work a separate county (1 over) away from my normal work place but still in the trunking area. And we have terrible radio service. It seems like our radios are only tied to the sites/freq in that county. Does this normall happen because i know it should be able to jump towers and what not. But we get no service in buildings... Instead of having to buy speciality tools and probably messing up the first time I tried, I decided to take it to a local shop who I guess is a Motorola service center. Yesterday we unboxed Tait, Harris and Motorola portables for the 7 eval teams. The Kenwood dealer forgot to ship his radios. Each vendor is going to do a presentation Friday and the teams will have 3 weeks to test them. I like the N50 size and menu screen but could not find a way to read signal strength.
