On the Unidens it spends roughly a second on the site and then quickly does one scan through of the conventional stuff in a fraction of a second so the whole scan process is very lop-sided towards the trunked stuff. Of course a way to somewhat alleviate the issue is to set the conventional system's "Hold Time" to 1 second or more. I'm just wondering if that same issue happens on Whistler scanners. View article »

In other words did Uniden make any modifications to the speaker, Battery, RF filters or chipset as a result of the Beta testing? My ham club is really kicking "every club member must also be an ARRL member" in high gear lately. It's like blasphemy if a member does not join the league. Part of the reason they are doing cartwheels with a set of pom-poms for League membership is that we are a Special Services club.
