So I’ve been looking into getting the 8600 mk2 for general coverage. A touch of HF but mostly everything above 30mhz. I have read a few reviews here and there, but as always, I like to hear directly from actual experienced end-users here. We no longer answer incoming calls, not ever, because of the volume of spam. We use our cell phones instead. I know about the simulcast on the 200, but I only sometimes monitor a couple of neighboring counties that use it. I edited the FMP24-cc.bat file per Frugal Radio for frequency and gain. This is what I have... FMP24 -rc -i1 -o2001 -p0.0 -f770.0 -g32.8 When I execute FMP24-cc.bat I get error message "RTL-SDR device #1 is in use". I've been toying around with adding another antenna for the scanner(glass mount). I have a mount from LIDO that I had purchased to clip the portable to in the cup holder until I had the mobiles in stalled, and it also works well the the SDS. View article »
