I was updating my Uniden BCD996P2 firmware using ProScan when a sudden power outage occurred. Now, the scanner is "bricked" and stuck in a bootloop/bootloader state. Current Symptoms: When powered on, the screen only shows: "Copyright 2015 Uniden America Corp. All Rights Reserved". They've asked me to construct an analog/NXDN patch out of two icom IC-F 6061's so we can patch in the last few analog handhelds we have prior to replacing them all at the end of the fiscal year. I've read this post as well as the service manuals for the 6061's, including the instructions for changing "coffee bean" settings but am still drawing a blank as far as getting audio to pass from... The word from DPS, is that ALL new & CURRENT talkgroups will be 💯 ENC. The current groups for Metro and districts could be changed? The manual says to reset if the CPU malfunctions. So tried that. Twice. Did not make any difference. Is it possible I somehow accidentally disabled the audio amp? The instruction manual isn't the easiest to understand. And so many 'sub-settings'. I had an earlier post - April 25 mentioned same problem. Suggested may be too old or too costly to fix. All the videos I've... 01-11-26, 23:18 pm Yesterday I attended a meeting of a small ham radio club in Oklahoma. There were 7 of us present. Four of us had brought radios -- all 4 were Minis. All the videos I've seen testing Minis have found them to meet FCC specifications for spurious emissions, as both of mine do. In my experience, it performs comparably to all the other 5-watt HTs I've used. I think Baofeng knocked it out of the park with this one.
