But when I put in six brand new Duracell batteries, no power. the battery compartment is clean and without any corrosion. I know its getting power from the batteries since the display is blinking but doesn't turn on when I press the power button. Thoughts? View article »

I have looked all over the place for a way to locate the Radio ID/Talker Aliases DSD+ has decoded so I can use the data but I can't find it. Right now DSD+ says "4990 radio records save; 1972 talker aliases" Where is this data stored?? My searches show that DSSPlus.radios in the root folder should display this data when opened with Notepad. Mine does not. I'm stumped! View article »

I believe they are using some type of Voice Over Wireless system now (of course not monitorable by any scanner). While on topic, are there any analog radio frequencies still active at the Port Authority Bus Terminal? I see a 470 MHz frequency listed in the DB, but never hear anything on it. View article »

I assume that the VP8000 is similar using a membrane switch stuck to chassis. On APX I had to buy a chassis to get the switch which had the switch been available as a separate part I could have peeled off the old one and stuck on the new and been spared transferring all the guts to a new chassis! Basically if I need to replace how hard to do and if best done by dealer. View article »
