I set the frequency (154.055), and it will show the A and B tones when a call is dispatched. The problems I'm having are: 1. No matter what delay I set, the scanner stops on the first tone out and won't proceed. It records one big file until I press resume. 2. The Lexington county combined dispatch center is still severely understaffed and at times only having 4 dispatchers/call takers on a shift. You will commonly hear the dispatcher say “standby I’m on a 911” or “standby I’m on a call”. All 3 of the municipal law dispatch talk groups are almost always patched. I'd like to buy a receiver, but would like to avoid spending more than $100 so that the Tecsun PL-330 would be my choice now to listen to SW, SSB and MW. But sound quality is important to me and I have doubts about the Tecsun in that regard due to its compactness and small speaker.
