My interest in ham radio is with APRS and location tracking as well as data but also "simplex" communication - radio to radio (similar to a licensed or unlicensed walkie talkie) Though currently I will probably be communicated through my local clubs repeater, the distance is around 2-3km in a built up city. I'm running two scanners off my... 03-23-26, 20:58 pm I've looked throw old threads, checked the proscan user manual. Ether I can't do what I'm trying to do or I'm missing something stupid. I'm running two scanners off my desktop via proscan. The IP website I've created for both are working but when I go into the remote scanner over ip tap in proscan, I put my IP address in and the port number, hit start, along with client selected. 03-23-26 LaGuardia Air Tower Talking To FDNY On The... Ok. I am very confused. FDNY is on UHF, so how in the world could they communicate with the ATC at the airport? I just heard the radio transmissions on the news right before the crash and was amazed to hear ATC speaking with FDNY over the radio.
