12-07-25 8.33 spacing Lately, have been scanning civil air band. My 160DN came pre programmed with 8.33 spacing. I added a custom search for 25k spacing. Lately, scanning 25k doesn't pick up... 12-07-25, 14:56 pm Lately, have been scanning civil air band. My 160DN came pre programmed with 8.33 spacing. I added a custom search for 25k spacing. Lately, scanning 25k doesn't pick up much and allot of static frequencies. When I switch over to 8.33, get plenty of hits without most of the static. Is the USA switching over to 8.33 spacing? I have control channel 853.900 entered into SDRTrunk and when I play the stream, I receive all kinds of traffic. Some from fire department, some from EMS calling in reports to hospitals, some from bus drivers, some from security for the bus system, etc. Is there a way to isolate to only hear traffic from a specific agency, like EMS or Fire? After setting it up however it appears that the beep/ring volume is pathetically low even with the... 12-07-25, 14:38 pm I finally have an application for the DCS pocket beep paging function. After setting it up however it appears that the beep/ring volume is pathetically low even with the audio at a reasonable level. Looking at what is known so far about the Uniden SDS150, I cannot see that it is an upgrade for me to the SDS100 that I already have. There are some things in the owner's manual that concern me, and that it is just another TV chip based receiver. I already have one of those.
