I made sure everything is synchronized between both radios - frequencies, encryption keys, settings. I made sure the firmware is current and the same between both radios. When I am on a digital channel with AES ENCRYPTION, I get no voice. About 25% of the time the receiving radio gets a green light and the signal strength indicator comes on, so I know it's... I got myself a nice Tecsun PL330 and I've been happily DXing the sadly dwindling number of European stations on the band (I'm in Ireland) and even managed to hear VOCM from Newfoundland, as well as plenty of shortwave and amateur stuff.
