The issue I'm having is when I program in the frequencies for the Whitby tower on the LMRN system, there's no audio and different voice channels show on the screen. The band plan is set to the one shown on RR database. The frequencies listed are : 142.0500 vc 142.2300 cc 142.3350 vc , 142.4250 vc , 142.8300 cc When the scanner locks onto the MTO ID number, these are the voice frequencies that show with no audio ... A PD I've worked with uses them even though the county has 5 sites, they say it is better than the antenna on the radio. A Kenwood guy my buddy talked to said they had problems with users not getting the side connector properly seated which caused problems. thanks View article »

I use a SDS200 connected to a powered preamp, multi-coupler, coax, discone on my roof probably 40 feet above the radio. I get currently upper NYS, and Ohio daily, which ranges from 100km, 125km. In Ontario, Niagara Region, Halton, Kitchener Waterloo. Why is it though I can't get Toronto Paramedic Services or Toronto Fire services that is within the same distance... Read more View article »
