06-05-26 St. Thomas Fire Has anyone noticed recent radio work done or changed to FD in St. Thomas. I can hear apparatus traffic but no dispatch communications. Pretty sure their new radios went in yesterday, though. When dispatch was on Repeater 2, no channel came up, but P25 code came on instead of DMR. Not sure if anyone knows anything or what. No issues with a 7550 programmed the same. Any setting or audio profile section that needs to be changed from the default to unmute this? Want to hear the actual 2 tone and single tones when pages come over but for whatever reason this R7 is muting that section of every page and no clue why. Never ran into... Read more View article »

My issue is I guess two-fold, firstly I guess I don't fully understand our radio system I know it's P25ii and apparently simulcast on conventual ( I'll post a link to the wiki for the system for reference) so I'm probably doing something wrong, secondly, I had done some research and found that you need to program the relay to... The radio still functions as I can... 06-05-26, 14:33 pm Hi, I have a Whistler TRX-1 and the screen on the unit appears to fade away while using the unit, on both batteries and on USB power. The radio still functions as I can remote control it from my computer and the backlight on the screen is still on, the screen seems to lose all contrast. If I unplug the unit and wait for a while and then plug it back in the screen turns back on like normal and then starts slowly fading away till the contrast on the screen is completely gone. This would be just like a highway... 06-05-26, 14:29 pm The other day, I heard radio traffic on DPS primary on the GATRRS system. The unit calling was 8 Henry and a three digit unit number. This would be just like a highway patrol unit, except there's no Region 8 nor would there be Henry in the unit number. Any ideas who or what the unit was? View article »
