02-02-26 Uniden 996T And P25 Audio Issue For whatever reason my 996T sees and stops on P25 talk groups/freqs but there is no audio output. This problem arose about a year ago. I'm uploading talkgroups/freqs... 02-02-26, 15:41 pm For whatever reason my 996T sees and stops on P25 talk groups/freqs but there is no audio output. This problem arose about a year ago. I'm uploading talkgroups/freqs from RadioReference in the same manner I've always used for years. The scanner does, however, see conventional analog transmissions and I do get audio. The scanner is 11 years old and has the latest Uniden update. I use Proscan for programming. Should I try the factory reset which I believe is press the 2,9 and "hold" key... Read more View article »
02-02-26 SDRplay Just starting out with the RSPduo. Power on and antenna connected to "Tuner 1". Software installed and running but not getting any reception. Must be something in programming. Antenna is connected to several other scanners with Stridsburg multicoupler so I know the antenna is good. Followed the quick start guide, but nothing. 02-02-26 No Weekly DB updates in two weeks for HP1 and 2 @jasonhouk - I went to update the DB in Sentinel last Monday for the older HP1 and HP2 models but no DB update was available. No big deal. Today I tried for this weeks... 02-02-26, 15:29 pm @jasonhouk - I went to update the DB in Sentinel last Monday for the older HP1 and HP2 models but no DB update was available. No big deal. Today I tried for this weeks update but it still says no DB update available. The is the orange icon version of Sentinel for the HP1 & 2 models. Still not a big deal but figured I'd report it for others. The x36/SDS DB updates did update, both last week and today, without issue. Thanks View article »

A broad question as I get into this hobby is, what bands or frequencies should I focus on when I see an antenna on a communication tower? I have attached two pictures of antennas on nearby towers and was curious to learn more about the bands or frequencies I should be focusing on.
