I’m not interested in a motorized mount, I’ve been there and done that with dual band ham antennas. The last time I had a quick disconnect, it didn’t inspire much confidence because it was extremely wobbly for lack of a better term. I’m hoping somebody makes one better than that nowadays. Most other... 02-08-26, 08:51 am I am new to the Uniden sds200 and to scanners in general. Located on Cape Cod I really want to listen to Barnstable PD which still runs on an analog system. Most other Towns run on a State Police Trunked system. I have programmed the scanner via the website software with all the frequencies for the Barnstable analog and the state trunked system. The scanner will not pick up the analog but I can get all the departments on the trunked system. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated. View article »

I’ve also been seeing a lot of departments switching to APX radios lately — even County Roads, which surprised me. Do we know when we might start seeing TDMA talkgroups come online? Also, I was under the impression that Little Mountain was part of the East Valley Simulcast and not its own standalone site. Did that change? My receiver is located approx. 2 miles from the tower. Basically, what's happening is, there's a couple talkgroups that come in garbled, yet audible and sometimes understandable, while a couple others come in fairly clear.
